So as Monday’s poll suggests - everyone has different requirements. Picking the perfect handbag that fits all your important possessions is not that easy! We should celebrate ourselves with the accessories we wear.

There are so many aspects to consider: The colours you like, the designs you like, the shapes you like and the textures you like should be reflected in your personal adornments. In the end, a handbag can be seen as your style and social barometer. The modern woman can use the handbag to express what she is attracted to and who she – instead of just opting for pure coordination.

But what are the things to consider when choosing your bag?
Here is a list of factors I have come up with:
Purpose, price, colour and you.

Purpose:

What do you want from your handbag? Do you need to carry a laptop, or are you looking for a bag that is just cute and fits your lipstick, a credit card and your phone? The fabric should also match your needs, do you want a sturdy bag or a delicate material that will look elegant? While leather continues to be a classic, fabric bags, jute bags and straw bags are taking over the market in a storm.

Price:

The price of your handbag can vary, depending on whether you are aiming for a designer model or the high street version. With vintage and second hand bargains in fashion, you really don’t have to spend big amounts to look great. The price of your handbag will depend on the image you are trying to give of yourself and the expectations you have from your handbag.
