Handbag Designers Spring/Summer 2008 – about Nannini

Nannini state on their website that their handbags are both elegant and trendy at the same time and convey the sophisticated femininity of the cosmopolitan woman – up to date with her fashion, but autonomous in her choices!

And guess what? I agree with them!!!

Nannini.it on the collection Spring/Summer 2008 (I could not sum it up any better myself – although the English is a little wooden at times what they want to express about their handbags is clear.):

At the moment there is no showroom or boutique in London, but surely that is going to change soon. If you are interested in the handbags you will have to travel to Italy, Germany, Austria, France – or Dubai – unless you try your luck on the internet!!

No wonder they are so good at making handbags – they have spent a long time making them! The company was founded in 1945 as a one-man venture by Virgilio Nannini who led it to it's early success for over twenty years. From the beginning they specialised in manufacturing and selling handbags and other fashion accessories. In 1966 Virgilio’s 3 sons Ubaldo, Giorgio and Paolo, who had been working with their dad from an early age, took over the business. Since 1992 the third generation of Nannini’s has joined the management team in this family business. Sandra, Silvia, Luca and Fabio are keeping the business’s strategic handbag vision in step with the times.

Good luck to this family business from me! I certainly find the handbag designs very fresh and trendy! And am looking forward to acquiring one of their handbags for myself… only which one to pick (Folk Chic it is for me…)!!
